PANCAKE POWER
What
200g Self-raising flour
50g Cricket powder
30g butter (plus a little bit extra for serving)
6g Baking powder
200ml milk
2 tbsp golden caster sugar
3 large eggs
Pinch of salt
Vegetable oil for frying
150g Blueberries
(if you're keen)
1 Bananana 🍌
(if you're keen)
How
1. BATTER TIME
Melt the butter in the microwave (10-15 secs should do). Take the butter out and leave it to cool.
Mix the self-raising flour, cricket powder, baking powder, caster sugar, eggs, melted butter and milk and a pinch of salt together in a large bowl.
Transfer mixture to a jug for easy pouring. You can just spoon it out if you do not have a jug- but only douchebags use spoons. Just kidding. ❤️ We like spooning- but thats another story.
2. BUILD THE STACK
Heat a small knob of butter and a dash of oil in a large, flat, non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. When the butter starts to bubble slightly pour in rounds of the batter. We went all out cause we like ours big! Cook the pancakes on for about 1-2 minutes or until small bubbles appear at around the edges of the bottom of the pancake. Flip the pancake and cook for another minute or so. Repeat with the rest of the batter, until you have a sexy stack o’ steaming hot pancakes!
Serve your pancakes stacked with whatever toppings you choose- we chose peanut butter,
bananas and blueberries cause we’re trying to get in in shape for summer. 💪
Butter and maple syrup would do just as nicely. 🥞
Fatties.
