We are looking for a highly motivated, outgoing, Business Development Lead who loves our product, dealing with people and can learn fast.
About Yum Bug
At Yum Bug we turn insects into delicious foods people love and recognise like burgers, mince and nuggets. Our bug-based foods aren't just great for the planet but are also great for you with about 30% more protein than beef.

We’re on a mission to change perceptions and take edible insects mainstream. To do this Yum Bug is building a world-class team of fun-loving, ambitious people, and we’d love you to be one of them!
Role
As our BD Lead you will be responsible for getting our grub onto menus across the UK, and organising activation events (pop-ups, samplings, festivals etc).
You’ll be:
Finding restaurants to list our grub, and managing their accounts
Working directly with our CEO to build and refine our sales playbook
Managing all activations and events (pop-ups, samplings, festivals etc.)
Occasionally working on weekends (ie. to run events)
Jumping in to help other team members every so often, when necessary
What you need to do the job effectively:
Believe insects are the future of food, and have a strong desire to help create a more sustainable food system
Genuinely like our products to the point that you would actually eat them yourself
Be a spreadsheet wizard
Able to communicate clearly and lead a team – particularly for running events
Charismatic and charming with amazing people skills
Clean UK driving licence
Speak, read and write in perfect English
Bonus (but not at all essential):
Have sold products into restaurants before or sold anything for a food brand.
