STICKY TERIYAKI CRICKET UDON NOODLES


Sticky teriyaki cricket udon noodles

Perfect for a quick and healthy mid-week meal!

 

Serves: 2

Time: 30mins


INGREDIENTS


Udon Noodles – 250g

Edamame Beans – 60g

Pak Choi – 2

Fine Green Beans – 70g

Mangetout - 80g

Red Onion – 1

Sesame Oil – 1 tbsp

Garlic Purée – 1 tsp

Ginger Purée – 1 tsp

Oyster Sauce – 4 tbsp

Light Soy Sauce – 2 tbsp

Lime Juice – ½

Coriander – handful

Spring Onions – 3

Crispy Onions

Red Chilli - 1


METHOD


1. COOK THE NOODLES | 10 mins

  • Add the noodles to a a pan of boiling water.

  • Simmer for 10 minutes and drain.


2. PREPARE THE CRICKETS | 5 mins

  • Whilst the noodles are cooking prepare your crickets.

  • Prepare and cook the crickets as per instructions on the Bug Kit.

  • Put aside in a separate bowl.


3. STIR FRY THE VEG AND NOODLES | 10 mins

  • Cut and slice up the fresh veg. We are using pak choi, beans and red onion but feel free to adapt to what you fancy!

  • Heat up the sesame oil in a pan on a medium-high heat.

  • Add the ginger and garlic purée

  • Add the sliced veg and edamame and stir fry for 3 – 4 minutes.

  • Add the noodles and stir fry until hot throughout.


4. ADD THE SAUCE | 5 mins

  • Add in the soy sauce, oyster sauce and lime juice.

  • Add the crickets back into the pan.

  • Stir well until everything is combined.

  • Season with salt and pepper.


5. SERVE | 2 mins

  • Split the stir fry between two bowls

  • Slice up the spring onions and chop the coriander.

  • Garnish with spring onions, crispy onions, and coriander.

There are several stages in the game slice master, and each one is made with different difficulties to keep things interesting and novel. Every level feels rewarding to finish as the difficulty rises with smaller targets, slippery obstacles, and faster-moving things.
