STICKY FIVE SPICE CRICKET STIR FRY

INGREDIENTS


Sunflower Oil – 1 tbsp

Fresh Ginger – 15g

Spring Onions – 3

Five Spice – 1 tsp

Garlic Cloves – 3 cloves

Red Chilli – 2

Soy Sauce – 1 tbsp

Rice Wine – 1 tbsp

Honey – 1 tbsp

Sesame Oil – ½ tsp


To Serve:

Egg Fried Rice

Tenderstem Broccoli



METHOD

  • Slice the spring onions up, separate the white parts from the green.

  • Finely dice the ginger, garlic, and chilli.

  • Heat the oil in a pan on a medium heat, add the white parts of the spring onions, ginger, and garlic.

  • When it’s fragrant, add in the crickets and stir fry for one minute.

  • Turn p the heat and add all the five spice, chilli, soy sauce, rice wine, and honey.

  • Stir fry until it thickens and gets sticky then remove from the heat and add the sesame oil.

  • Serve with your choice of vegetables and rice!
